A very basic app with a decent interface.

Great choice of languages.

Audio recording can be downloaded from the iTunes store.

Appreciated if audio quality is better in other languages.

The app is free, and you can get English, Hebrew, and several other translations.

The Old Testament can be found in the first chapter, the New Testament in the second chapter, the Book of Deuteronomy in the third, the Book of Esther in the fourth, the Book of Job in the fifth, and the Book of Revelation in the sixth.

When you select a language and a book, and a chapter is selected (click the button next to the yellow cover), a rectangular window will pop up. Everything you will find in that book is written down on that page of the Bible.

The next window features the current sentence and a big red button that says Start Recording. When it’s clicked, an audio recording will begin. The app can be paused and played again, and everything will revert to the book’s original text.

As you can see in the screengrab above, the entire text is written in English with the appropriate pronunciation, and everything else is in the same language. If you choose Hebrew and want to listen to the Old Testament, you will hear an identical sentence but with Hebrew pronunciation and accents.

Loading time for audio is unacceptably slow.

Clicking a chapter will take you to the beginning of the chapter, but without audio.

There are no translations in the Book of Deuteronomy.
