Virtual Router Manager Activation Code (VRM) is a specialized network solution that allows you to share a single connection, either wired or wireless, through a virtual router. Thus, a simple Windows laptop can become a wireless access point that enables multiple wireless clients to connect to the Internet. It can be used to set up a private hotspot with password protection, creating a secure and private connection between the client and the Internet without having to open a permanent port in the firewall.
How to Use:

The main window allows you to select a wireless network to share and set a password for it.
At the top left corner of the window is a configuration tool to view the connected clients, their IPs, hostnames and MAC addresses, along with the connection’s strength.

Sharing Configuration:

To share a single connection, go to the network connection tab, which allows you to select the shared connection from which the clients will be able to connect to the Internet.

By default, the connection is set as a “Wired connection from the router to the client”, but you can also create a “Wired connection from the client to the router”.

To create a “Wired connection from the client to the router” select the type of connection that will be created, here called “Wired”, then click on the “Add” button.
Hostname
A hostname is a unique name used to identify the clients connected to the shared connection. Virtual Router Manager Free Download supports both domain name and IP addresses, but IP addresses are more recommended as they offer a higher level of security.
Here, you can enter a hostname or IP address or click on the button “Custom” to specify it manually.
Password
To create a shared password to the client, click on the “Settings” tab and enter a password as shown in the figure below.
This screen is useful to provide more security to the hotspot by requiring a password to access it. Here you can select different modes of encryption, using either WPA2 (Pre-shared key) or AES, along with the authentication method (User/EAP or EAP-TLS).
