AutoCAD provides a standard drawing export format, DXF. DXF files allow the AutoCAD drawing information to be shared outside the AutoCAD program.

Two types of DXF are supported:
AutoCAD native export
CreateDXF is an AutoCAD add-on application that provides high quality DXF format creation. DXF files allow the AutoCAD drawing information to be shared outside the AutoCAD program.
DXF Reader is an AutoCAD add-on application that reads and displays DXF drawing information.
AutoCAD also supports importing and exporting drawings in EPS, PDF and other formats. The PDF format is most often used for re-use or distribution of the drawing information.

In AutoCAD LT, DXF export is restricted to certain drawing types. When a drawing is converted into a DXF file, the convertor restricts the exported DXF format to the type of drawing. For example, all 2D drawings can be exported as either DXF or DWG, but if the drawing is in 3D, only DWG is supported.

In previous AutoCAD releases, DWG and DXF export was only supported for drawings saved in an internal CAD database. Now the standard DWG and DXF export is supported for drawings saved to external file locations, on the file system, in external CAD databases, and within shared networks.

Step 5: Keygen

Open your autocad installation folder. For Autocad 2013, open the Autocad folder and inside you will see three folders:

Installation
Data
Software

Right click on the Data folder and select “New” then select “Shortcut”. Give the shortcut the name of “AD_Keygen.exe” and press Finish.

Click on the shortcut and select properties.

Go to the Compatibility tab.

Look at the text at the top.

Choose the correct version for your Autocad.

After this step you have now a *.vkey file.

Step 6: Import the *.vkey file

After having generated the key you will need to import it.

Select the shortcut that you just created (it should be in the ad_keygen folder).

Open the shortcut.

In the context menu select “open command window here”

Type and execute the following command:

C:\ad_keygen\AD_Keygen.exe

This will launch the keygen for autocad.

The keygen will ask you to enter a license key

Enter your license key, remember you have generated a key, you will need this key later on.
